Monster High-Style Sheri Squibbles

So this is the last of my original MH-style Monsters University characters, Sheri Squibbles! Ohhh she might be my favorite design of the bunch Doing the MI/MU characters proved to be quite the learning process, especially since the majority of the core characters are male and that's kinda the opposite for Monster High. So any time I could do a girl, I strove to get it right as best I could! There are still some bugs with this one, but the drawing overall is so cute I can ignore them :3 Coming up with an outfit for her was fun. It's always tricky doing so because you want them to do justice to the incredible fashionableness the MH girls possess. A lot of what helped was finding a motif, what her "killer style" is. In this case, the two outfits Ms. Squibbles primarily wears are full of bright light colors, blues, greens, pinks, yellows, and floral patterns, so after finding a cute top and skirt, I went to town making it the cutest it could be! I actually had to make stamps to make sure I could nail the floral lace on her translucent sleeves and the floral pattern on her skirt. Honestly she turned out so adorable I really really want to custom-make a doll of her before anyone else! In my concept for a total MH rewrite of Monsters University, Sheri is instead Squishy's older college-age sister, and Squishy and the rest of the "Oozmas" crash at her apartment. Eeee I can't wait to draw her again! And I'm already thinking of doing some prom-related drawings of some of my fave Monsters couples before long!
