Introducing Magikari, My Sugar Rush OC

Description

And here's the very last of my old DisneyCreate characters to be reintroduced at long last, Magikari Choconut! Her origins were in my awesome DC friend MadagascarRocks's Sugar Rush OC contest. Seriously, DC had original Sugar Rush racers running all over the place after Wreck-It Ralph came out. Sooo yeah... I wanted to enter MR's contest, but I had to come up with something new and different. A few months earlier, I'd drawn myself as a Racer, with my theme sweet being one of my favorite sweets ever, rainbow sherbet, so the challenge was to figure out what other dessert I love that I could theme a racer off and that would be different from the many others on the Createosphere. I don't remember exactly how it came to be that I would use magic cookie bars to model my character off of, buuuuuut I did. And understandably so... those things are the perfect blend of graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, coconut, walnuts, and condensed milk! While I don't remember exactly how I picked that theme sweet, I do remember what I was thinking when I started putting Magikari together; I looked at all the other canonical Racers and the first thing that occurred to me was that all of the girls wore skirts. So what if I came up with racer who went against the avatar programming and wore jeans, plain and simple? That simple concept of her wearing jeans eventually led to her becoming the tomboyish, down-and-dirty, full-of-attitude, off-road racer she is today! So yeah... her outfit's simple, with just faded jeans, a corresponding jacket covered in shredded coconut, a cream tank top (representing the condensed milk), a set of graham cracker boots, and a pair of steampunk-ish chocolate goggles. Then with a unique walnut-esque hair color streaked with chocolate, and of course, her adorable short curly hair, Magikari came to be! I drew her only a couple other times, those two drawings above being the primary ones (don't you just love my attempts at 3D?). The SR style is tricky to pin down sometimes (as you will notice she looks wayyy too tall in that new pic), but she's such a great character I'm willing to work on it :) So yay for my awesome Magikari! I can't wait to get to drawing some more of her and my new never-before-seen character, Blondeca! And I had fun with adding in some Kanji writing again... it says "Magic Cookie Racer" if you were curious. She's off to the races! Now you see her, now you don't! :D

Sugar Rush elements belong to Disney, but Magikari Choconut and the drawings belong to me.
